Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rabid Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Latham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rabid Rabbit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Latham!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Latham fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rabbit sprawls well initially but Latham persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rabbit is not content to let Latham control the position.
Latham controlling the action here.
Latham drops an elbow to the side of Rabbit's head.

Latham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rabbit defends it well.
Rabbit is trying to stand up here but Latham is controlling him well.
Latham wants to stand up but Rabbit is controlling the position.

Latham wants to advance to full mount but Rabbit doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Latham is looking to advance position but Rabbit has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Rabbit prevents Latham from getting the reversal.
Latham looks gassed!
Latham wants to hold on but Rabbit pushes him away.
Rabbit throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Latham regains half guard.
Latham is trying to maintain the position but Rabbit is very close to passing his half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rabbit looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Latham with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rabbit wants to stand up but Latham has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Latham is trying to control but can't.
Latham throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Latham wants to improve his position but Rabbit is controlling well.
Rabbit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Latham does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Latham moves out of range of the strikes.
Latham looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rabbit is fending him off so far but Latham persists. Nope, Rabbit circles away and we're back to standing.
Rabbit throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
No joy there for Rabbit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rabbit plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rabbit doesn't manage to clinch there - Latham circles away.

Latham gets caught flat footed, as Rabbit shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Latham throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rabbit stays in close to Latham's body and controls the position.
Rabbit trying to control but Latham is working from the bottom.
Rabbit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Latham seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Latham throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rabbit uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rabbit tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Latham tries to clinch but Rabbit moves out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Latham wants to clinch.

Latham has taken the fight to the clinch.

Latham breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A clash of legs there as Rabbit blocks the low kick.
Latham misses with a takedown

and Rabbit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Latham throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rabbit uses it to pass to side control.
Latham is not content to let Rabbit control the position.
Latham is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rabbit's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Latham working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rabbit has passed into half guard!

Latham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rabid Rabbit will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Latham goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rabbit rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Latham's guard! Nice work there by Rabbit!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rabbit sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Latham is looking for a triangle but Rabbit pushes his legs off easily.
Latham trying to keep a closed guard but Rabbit is proving a slippery customer.
Latham might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rabbit kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Latham wants to sweep but no luck.

Latham is looking for a triangle but Rabbit pushes his legs off easily.

Rabbit would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rabbit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Latham is pulling down on Rabbit's head. It's preventing any offense from Rabbit, at least for the moment.

Mark Latham comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Latham has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
