Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Quincy!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, charles white!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quincy works over white's head and body with a nice combination.
Quincy leaves white with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
white is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Quincy pulls him back up using the underhooks.
white breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quincy throws a body punch but white moves out of range.
white dives in and grabs Quincy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Quincy pushes down on white's head and hops out.
Damien Quincy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of charles white.
white takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Quincy wants to clinch up but white keeps it at a distance.
white shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Quincy as he jumps to the side.
white throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
white doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
white drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
white wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Quincy, who protects the arm well.
white is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quincy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Quincy tries to buck white off but white is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Quincy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Quincy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because white is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

white moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

white shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

white can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Quincy is looking to escape.
Quincy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Quincy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as white walks away with a smile on his face. Quincy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from white.
