Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pen Kli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ad Voesenek!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voesenek digs a good body shot into Kli's ribs.
A swing and a miss from Kli.
Voesenek shoots in but no luck this time.
Kli keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kli looks for the body kick but Voesenek saw that one coming.
Voesenek is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Voesenek.

Kli gets caught flat footed, as Voesenek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Voesenek wanted to stand there but Kli had control of the position.
Kli wants to stand but Voesenek is controlling the position.
Voesenek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kli works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Voesenek slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Voesenek trying to control but Kli is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kli lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Ad Voesenek has been cut.
Kli throws a nice looking combination but Voesenek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Voesenek shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kli is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Voesenek trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Voesenek trying to control but Kli is working from the bottom.
Voesenek must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kli avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Voesenek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kli swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Voesenek shoots in looking for a takedown. Kli tries to sprawl out of it but Voesenek keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kli manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kli throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Voesenek.
Ad Voesenek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Voesenek fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kli stuffs the takedown attempt from Voesenek. Voesenek gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Voesenek or perhaps it was just good defense by Kli which made him look bad.
Pen Kli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ad Voesenek.
Voesenek is breathing heavily.

Voesenek tries to close the distance and clinch but Kli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Voesenek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kli's waist but Kli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voesenek off to one side.
Kli scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kli throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kli cracks the inside of Voesenek's front leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Voesenek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kli is fending him off so far but Voesenek persists. Nope, Kli circles away and we're back to standing.

Kli looks to land a combination but Voesenek avoids it well.
Voesenek has a takedown stuffed.
Kli throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kli misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Voesenek.
Kli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kli thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Voesenek if he has to take too many more of those.
Kli throws a sloppy head kick and Voesenek moves out of range easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kli throws a head kick that Voesenek semi-blocks.
Kli will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Good leg kick by Kli there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Voesenek misses with a few strikes there.
Voesenek misses with a takedown attempt - Kli sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kli stuffs the takedown.
Kli throws a head kick that misses.
Voesenek misses with a jab, cross combination.
Voesenek shoots for a double leg takedown but Kli sprawls well. He's pushed Voesenek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kli lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Voesenek at a distance.
Kli fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Voesenek.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pen Kli dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Ad Voesenek's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Voesenek decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Voesenek is keen to just control but Kli is a slippery customer.
Voesenek is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Voesenek throwing strikes but missing.

Voesenek drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kli dives on top into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kli decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A head kick misses from Kli.

Voesenek closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kli did well to prevent Voesenek getting side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kli kicks off Voesenek and gets to his feet.
Voesenek throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kli counters with a head kick.
Voesenek fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kli goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Voesenek misses with a body shot.
Voesenek fails with a takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kli keeps the fight on the outside.
Pen Kli is winning the standup battle so far.
Voesenek looks for a takedown but Kli sprawls well.
Voesenek is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kli.
Voesenek avoids the head kick by Kli.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kli avoids a kick to the body.
Voesenek takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Voesenek moves out of range as Kli throws a body kick.
Voesenek rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kli moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kli misses with a jab, cross combination.
Voesenek wants to clinch up but Kli keeps it at a distance.
Voesenek tries to clinch but Kli moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pen Kli showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kli has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
