Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Cocacola! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cocacola misses with a head kick.
Greene keeps the fight on the outside. Cocacola rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greene moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cocacola shoots in but no luck this time. Greene is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A good leg kick by Greene. Greene is looking to clinch. Greene wants to clinch but Cocacola slips to the side and Cocacola counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Cocacola clinches up against the cage. Greene gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Benny Cocacola has been cut. Cocacola is working for takedown but Greene is calmly controlling the position for now. Cocacola drops down looking for an ankle pick but Greene pulls his leg out and moves away.
James Greene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Cocacola. Greene changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cocacola looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Cocacola is right now. Cocacola is trying to get back to his feet. Cocacola sneaks back into half guard. Cocacola trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cocacola looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Greene tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cocacola controls his leg. Greene decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cocacola throws a leg kick but Greene sees it coming and moves out of range. Greene throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cocacola misses with a takedown and Greene counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Cocacola is lucky that one didn't land flush. Greene moves into the clinch. Greene works on Cocacola's body with a couple of short punches. Greene softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Greene lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Greene stalls. Cocacola tries to pull guard but Greene won't allow it.
Greene is leaning against Cocacola and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Cocacola takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for Greene to work.
Greene lands a left hand.
Greene scores a nice knee to the body.
Cocacola looks gassed! Greene stops a takedown attempt from Cocacola.
Greene lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cocacola backwards. Greene connects with a nasty looking knee right to Cocacola's face.
Greene breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Greene buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Greene tries to clinch up and Cocacola counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cocacola. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Greene lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cocacola! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Greene controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cocacola takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Cocacola throws a right and a left that both miss. Cocacola throws a head kick that misses and Greene counters with a lovely straight right hand! Greene closes the distance and pushes Cocacola back into the cage. Cocacola drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cocacola tries to score a body lock takedown but Greene shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nice elbow from Greene. Greene lands a nice elbow. Nice elbow from Greene. Greene lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Greene prevents a takedown attempt there.
James Greene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Cocacola. Greene leaning against his opponent.
Cocacola is breathing heavily. Greene escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cocacola throws a lazy right hand but Greene sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Greene ducks under a wild hook from Cocacola. Cocacola gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Greene cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Greene pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cocacola looks to land a combination but Greene avoids it well. Greene throws a head kick that misses and Cocacola counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Cocacola is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Greene defends it well. Cocacola wants to take a breather but Greene is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cocacola prevents Greene from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Greene wants to stand and escape but Cocacola is having none of it. Greene manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cocacola misses with a leg kick and Greene counters by moving into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Greene dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Benny Cocacola's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Greene moves into range and clinches up with Cocacola. Cocacola blocks an elbow strike. Greene lands an elbow just above Cocacola 's eye. Cocacola tries to circle away but Greene has him pinned against the cage. Greene pushes off an throws an elbow but Cocacola leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Cocacola is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Greene gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Cocacola tries to stall but Greene uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cocacola wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cocacola drops down looking for an ankle pick but Greene pulls his leg out and moves away.

Greene working Cocacola over with knees to the body. Cocacola takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Greene escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene tries to clinch and Cocacola counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Greene's guard now. Cocacola loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Greene is looking to stand up but Cocacola isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cocacola looking to sit in guard and control but Greene gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cocacola manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greene manages to get himself to full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene managing to control the position. James Greene is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cocacola looking to pass the guard. Benny Cocacola has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cocacola wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Greene. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Greene, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
