Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy OMelovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Frank!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
OMelovich looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Frank throws a right and a left that OMelovich avoids nicely.
OMelovich misses with a two punch combination.
Frank throws a leg kick which misses OMelovich's front leg but catches the back leg as OMelovich tries to avoid it.
Frank changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. OMelovich looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Frank decides to stand back up.
Frank throws a sloppy head kick and OMelovich moves out of range easily.
Frank throws a nice inside leg kick.
OMelovich takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
OMelovich blocks a head kick by Frank.
A head kick from Frank lands but OMelovich takes it in his stride.
It looks like Andy OMelovich has been cut.
An inside leg kick lands from Frank.
Frank fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. OMelovich sprawls well initially but Frank persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Frank with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Frank stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Frank throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Frank.
Frank tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Frank.
Frank moves into the clinch.
Frank lands a knee to the head.
Frank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Frank throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by OMelovich.
Frank lands a nice looking kick to the body. OMelovich takes a step back to recover.
Frank lands with a thumping leg kick.
OMelovich takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Frank misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
OMelovich tries to clinch
and Frank counters with a single leg into guard. OMelovich didn't expect that.
Frank stops OMelovich from standing up.
Frank drops back looking for a leg! OMelovich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and OMelovich manages to kick Frank off! Frank jumps back into OMelovich's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Let's hope that Frank has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Frank gets to his feet - OMelovich follows without any prompting.
OMelovich blocks a head kick by Frank.

Frank drives through and clinches with OMelovich against the cage.
Frank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Frank swinging wilding here.
Frank looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for OMelovich!
OMelovich is trying to escape the mount.
Frank sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

OMelovich can't escape the position.
Frank controlling his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Frank dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Andy OMelovich's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Frank misses with a few strikes there.
Frank goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
OMelovich throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Frank instigates a clinch.
Frank breaks the clinch.
Frank has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Frank lands a big head kick that sends OMelovich tumbling to the mat! Frank takes a step backwards and waves OMelovich back to his feet - he wants the finish!
OMelovich is rocked!
OMelovich avoids the head kick by Frank.
Oh OMelovich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Frank uses the oldest trick in the book to send OMelovich tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Frank is absolutely delighted - when OMelovich wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
