Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Ping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KO Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ping comes to the cage accompanied by Open Hapiness. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Ping!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, KO Machine!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ping decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ping is thwarting Machine's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machine is trying to stand up here but Ping is controlling him well.
Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ping. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ping is taking a breather. Machine says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ping seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Machine does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Machine is trying to control but can't.
Machine is looking for a sweep. Ping is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ping seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ping passes to full mount!
Machine is trying to reverse the position but instead Ping has taken his back - oops!
Machine just trying to survive but Ping is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Machine is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ping.
Machine is trying to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Machine wants to escape the position.
Ping avoiding Machine 's attempts to control his hands.
Ping lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ping.
Ping tries to get the hooks in deep but Machine pushed the leg off.
Machine wants to escape the position.
Machine just trying to survive but Ping is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Ping biding his time, looking for the opening.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ping working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Ping is breathing heavily.
Machine trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ping's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Machine trying to control the hands but Ping breaks the grip.
Machine is keeping busy.
Machine just trying to survive but Ping is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machine tries to break free.
Machine trying to control the action but Ping just sinks the hooks in.
Will Ping go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Machine wants to control his opponent's hands but Ping gets his hands free.
Machine turns into Ping and is now in his guard.
Machine is stalling in the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Machine tries to clinch there but Ping circles away.
Machine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Machine rushes Ping and presses him up against the cage.
Machine wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ping tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Machine avoids it.
Machine gets through Ping's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Machine lands a left hand.
Machine lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ping backwards.
Machine lands a shoulder strike.
Machine lands a shot to the body.

Machine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Machine fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ping gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Machine bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ping's head backwards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Machine rushes Ping and presses him up against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Machine.
Machine pushes Ping back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierre Ping dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Machine moves into the clinch successfully.
Ping's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Machine tries to circle away but Ping has him pinned against the cage.

Machine has a couple of punches blocked by Ping.
Machine gets through Ping's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Machine throws a punch but it's blocked by Ping.
Machine swings wildly with an uppercut but Ping uses good head movement to avoid it.
Still in the clinch, Machine scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Machine creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

KO Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Ping throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ping is defended easily by Machine.
Ping misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Ping takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Machine clinches but Ping breaks the clinch

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Machine is controlling Ping's trapped leg to prevent Ping from advancing to side control.

Machine trying to control but Ping postures up.
Machine is controlling Ping's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Machine is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Ping counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Machine can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ping is looking to take a break and control but Machine is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ping tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Machine swivels and escapes.

Machine throws a punch but it's blocked by Ping.

Ping trying to control the position but instead, Machine has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ping into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ping is looking to control Machine's arms but Machine gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ping has his back to the cage.

Ping pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Machine has Ping up against the cage in a clinch.
Machine lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ping or not.
Machine lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Machine throws a punch but it's blocked by Ping.

Ping jumps into guard, dragging Machine to the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pierre Ping showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ping has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
