Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maik Murmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murmann has chosen Nur ein Wort as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maik Murmann! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tyler. Murmann tries to improve position but can't. Tyler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murmann on the ground. Tyler taking a breather here. Tyler is trying to move to mount but Murmann reverses beautifully and ends up in Tyler's guard. Murmann working some strikes from top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murmann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tyler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murmann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Murmann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Murmann pushing down on Tyler's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler tries to roll over but Murmann keeps him under control. Murmann is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tyler sees it coming and defends easily. Murmann looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tyler is not content to let Murmann control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Murmann is trying to work for a kimura but Tyler is defending well.
Tyler wants to control but Murmann is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tyler keeping control of the position. Tyler is trying to stand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Murmann has his takedown stuffed and Tyler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice body punch from Tyler. Tyler throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Murmann misses with a takedown attempt and Tyler counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jake Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maik Murmann. Tyler chips away with some ground and pound. Tyler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tyler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tyler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murmann has his foot on Tyler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tyler works his way back into a safe position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tyler passes into half guard. Tyler is pressing down on Murmann's thigh, looking to free his foot. Murmann is holding on for now. Tyler trying to control the pace. The fighters are battling for position here. Murmann manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Murmann is trying to keep Tyler in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murmann has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Tyler dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tyler shoots in and bounces Murmann off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tyler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murmann has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyler has managed to get both his arms back between Murmann's legs - danger averted. Murmann has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tyler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Murmann. Murmann is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Murmann tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tyler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Tyler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Murmann's shoulder. That is not cool. Tyler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tyler scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Murmann to see if he's OK. Murmann tries to buck Tyler off but Tyler is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tyler decides to stand back up. Tyler steps back and let's Murmann get back to his feet. Murmann has his takedown stuffed and Tyler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tyler. Tyler drags the fight down to the ground.
Jake Tyler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Murmann drops back looking for a leg! Tyler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyler manages to kick Murmann off! Murmann jumps back into Tyler's guard. Tyler wants to sweep here but Murmann controlling him for the moment. Murmann lands a couple of digs. Tyler keeping full guard, as Murmann tries to pass. Tyler wants to stand up but Murmann is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murmann trying to control but Tyler is working from the bottom. Murmann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Murmann looking to pass the guard. Murmann passes Tyler's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tyler desperately trying to maintain half guard. Tyler is trying to stand up here but Murmann is controlling him well. Tyler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tyler preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Murmann wants to work for an arm triangle but Tyler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Murmann has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tyler defend it? Murmann steps over the head and cranks it - Tyler is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Murmann!
