The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mucho loco misses with a takedown attempt - Davies sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Davies shoots in looking for a takedown. mucho loco tries to sprawl out of it but Davies keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. mucho loco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Davies jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but mucho loco manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Davies wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by mucho loco, who protects the arm well.

Davies goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, mucho loco has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Davies but great work by mucho loco.

It looks like Helen Davies has been cut.
Davies shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts mucho loco as he jumps to the side.

and Davies counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for mucho loco!

Davies goes for an armbar but he's not got it… mucho loco turns into him and now he's in Davies's guard.

Davies might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Davies is working an open guard so mucho loco takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

mucho loco goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from mucho loco lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Davies has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Davies and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Davies looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Davies takes a shot right to the bread basket.
mucho loco bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
mucho loco scores with a kick to the midsection.
Davies stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from mucho loco.
mucho loco dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Davies. That did some damage!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

mucho loco tries to bum rush Davies with a series of wild strikes but Davies uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

mucho loco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
mucho loco's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

mucho loco has his hands on Davies's head, controlling the position.
mucho loco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

mucho loco has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Davies is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for mucho loco.
Davies has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

mucho loco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Davies is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Davies drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but mucho loco manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davies has mucho loco in his guard.
