PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kraven Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kraven Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Daniels!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bush slows the pace down in half guard.
Daniels looks gassed!
Daniels is trying to get back to full guard.
Bush thows a huge punch but Daniels dodges it nicely.
Still in half guard, Bush seems content to control.
Daniels is trying to stand up here but Bush is controlling him well.
Bush controlling the action here.
Bush works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bush has control of Daniels's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Daniels regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Daniels is looking to improve his position but Bush isn't that keen on the idea.
Bush controlling from the full mount.

Bush is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Daniels has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bush controlling the pace for now.
Daniels keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bush controlling his opponent.
Bush postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Daniels looks a forlorn figure.
Bush controlling from the full mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bush punching from mount but Daniels doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Bush trying to control but Daniels is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels stops Bush from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Daniels is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Bush looking to ground and pound but Daniels is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bush tries to control but Daniels wriggling away.
Daniels wants to hold on but Bush pushes him away.
Bush prevents Daniels from getting the reversal.
Bush lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bush controlling the position easily from mount.
Daniels is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bush lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Daniels hang on?
Bush sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kraven Bush just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Daniels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bush counters by moving into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kraven Bush dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Daniels blocks a leg kick.
Daniels throws a head kick that misses.
Bush throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Daniels with a poor takedown

and Bush counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daniels won't be happy with that.

Bush is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Daniels is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bush thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bush throws an elbow but Daniels slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bush laying and praying for a moment but Daniels takes advantage and regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bush in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Daniels tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bush!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kraven Bush!
