The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salizar lands a nice shot that snaps Mean's head back.
Mean tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Salizar swivels and escapes.
Salizar sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Mean to the ground! Salizar dives into full mount looking to finish!
Mean tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mean throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Salizar with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Salizar blocks Mean's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Mean swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Mean bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salizar cracks Mean with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mean tries to reverse the position but Salizar maintains control.
Salizar unloads with some shots from mount but Mean bucks and avoids them well.

Mean gets back to half guard.
Mean is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Salizar pulls his head out easily.

Salizar feints and then cracks Mean's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mean down.
