Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Emelianenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barbosa circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Barbosa.
Emelianenko throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Barbosa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Emelianenko to his feet.

Barbosa tries to roll over but Emelianenko keeps him under control.

Barbosa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him.

Emelianenko leaves Barbosa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Barbosa wants to stand up but Emelianenko has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Barbosa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Emelianenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barbosa slips a nice elbow through Emelianenko's hands, connecting with Emelianenko's forehead.

Barbosa stands and steps away. Emelianenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Emelianenko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Barbosa stands up from Emelianenko's guard - Barbosa perhaps looking for a knockout.
Barbosa tries to close the distance and clinch but Emelianenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Emelianenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barbosa tries to hold on but Emelianenko pushes him away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Emelianenko has isolated one of Barbosa's arms. Barbosa looking to fight him off but Emelianenko twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
