Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Ruoska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarret Beal! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruoska displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beal throws out the jab. Beal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ruoska shoots in looking for a takedown. Beal tries to sprawl out of it but Ruoska keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ruoska throws a jab when Beal was well out of range. Ruoska tries to clinch but Beal is having none of it. Ruoska walks into a left hand. Ruoska shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beal defends it nicely. Beal misses with a series of wild punches.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Beal throws a jab but it's blocked by Ruoska. Beal moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Beal throws a series of punches but Ruoska avoids them all with ease.

Beal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
