Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason David Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fahir Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hassan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Fahir Hassan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jason David Frank's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason David Frank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fahir Hassan! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frank doesn't manage to clinch there - Hassan circles away.
Frank tries to clinch up. Hassan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frank. Frank tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hassan staying out of range there. Hassan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Frank is fending him off so far but Hassan persists. Nope, Frank circles away and we're back to standing. Frank shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hassan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hassan controlling the action here. Frank actively working from the bottom here. Frank is looking to control Hassan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Frank avoid being mounted? Frank could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Frank is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hassan pulls his head out easily. Hassan moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frank is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hassan asserts his dominance and retains side control. Frank is breathing heavily. Hassan taking a breather here. Hassan has control of an arm but Frank manages to advance to Hassan's back! Hassan biding his time, controlling Frank. Hassan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hassan avoiding Frank 's attempts to control his hands. Hassan controls the action. Frank is trying to break free.
Frank is trying to stand back up. Frank tries to roll but Hassan sticks to his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frank controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Hassan biding his time, controlling Frank. Hassan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Frank can't escape the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hassan scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Frank is trying to stand back up. Frank is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Hassan keeps control of the position easily here as Frank tries to buck him off.
Frank rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hassan tries to pass to full mount but Frank defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fahir Hassan dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Good shot there by Frank. Frank looks to land a left hand but Hassan moved out of range nicely. Hassan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Frank manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frank looking for subs off his back but Hassan has passed one foot through into half guard.
Well, if Hassan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round. Frank is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hassan slows the pace down in half guard. Hassan works his foot free and advances to mount. Hassan looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Frank is squirming around, avoiding Hassan's attempts to control the action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Fahir Hassan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Frank instigates a clinch. Frank breaks the clinch.
Hassan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hassan drives through with a takedown into guard. Frank has his foot on Hassan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hassan works his way back into a safe position though. Hassan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Let's hope that Hassan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frank working for a triangle but Hassan defends it easily.
Hassan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Frank working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hassan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hassan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hassan passes Frank's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hassan sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hassan trying to pass the guard but Frank defending well. Frank looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hassan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frank actively working from the bottom here. Frank actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fahir Hassan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Frank fails in his attempt to clinch. Jason David Frank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hassan shoots in and drives through. Frank sprawls well. Hassan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hassan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frank swivels and escapes. A punch combination from Frank misses. Frank tries a head kick but it misses.
Frank closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Frank is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hassan is pressing down on Frank's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Frank stopping the sweep attempt from Hassan. Hassan controlling Frank's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frank has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Frank tries to stand but Hassan is controlling from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hassan holds on and takes a little breather. Hassan has a closed guard, preventing Frank from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hassan is pulling down on Frank's head. It's preventing any offense from Frank, at least for the moment. Frank would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Frank drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hassan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hassan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hassan! Frank tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frank's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Hassan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Frank really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
