The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McSteamy's guard.
McDougall tries to free his leg and advance position but McSteamy is retaining full guard.
McDougall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McSteamy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McDougall trying to control but McSteamy is working from the bottom.
McSteamy controls McDougall momentarily but McDougall frees himself.
McDougall wants to pass the guard but McSteamy is keeping the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McSteamy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute McDougall jumps into side control!
McDougall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McSteamy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McDougall's guard! Nice work there by McSteamy!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McSteamy wants to control from the top but McDougall keeps moving.
McDougall tries to land a sweep but no joy.

McDougall is pulling down on McSteamy's head to control his posture.

McDougall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McSteamy manages to get himself to full guard.

McDougall wants to stand but McSteamy is controlling his posture from full guard.

McDougall wants to get up but he can't break McSteamy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McSteamy.
McSteamy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McSteamy throws a nice outside leg kick.
McDougall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McSteamy lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as McDougall crumples to the floor! McSteamy milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
