Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raz Zar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony B!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raz Zar!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but B swivels and escapes.
Zar slaps away a takedown attempt from B, before circling back to the center of the mat.
B closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zar circles away.

Zar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Zar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
B working to try and regain half guard.
Zar trying to control but he's not successful this time.
B tries to hold on but Zar pushes him away.
Zar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
B is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
B is in all sorts of trouble here.

Zar avoids the attempt from B to control.

B really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

B tries to reverse the position but Zar maintains control.
B wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but B manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Zar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with B but B pushes him off and we're back to square one.

B shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Zar blocking the ground and pound attempt from B.
B slips a nice elbow through Zar's hands, connecting with Zar's forehead.

B is working for a kimura but Zar is defending it quite comfortably.
B wants to control but Zar is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
B is controlling the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Tony B will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



B feints and as Zar raises his hands in defense, B changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
B throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zar looking to control.

B drops back looking for a leg! Zar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zar manages to kick B off! B jumps back into Zar's guard.
Zar keeping moving, preventing B from controlling successfully.
Zar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from B.
B keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zar's head.

B postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of B, into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

B pushes Zar off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Zar shoots and misses

and B counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zar's guard now.
Zar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Zar is working an open guard so B takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

B rushes Zar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

B drags the fight down to the ground.

B throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

B looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Zar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Zar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

B looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Zar is trying to control the position but B postures up.

B is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Zar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. B doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. B manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony B dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


B circles away from the clinch attempt

and B holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Zar goes for a takedown attempt but B pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
B closes the distance and clinches up with Zar, looking for a takedown. B pushes Zar against the cage but Zar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zar closes this distance looking for a takedown but B circles away.

Zar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tony B overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
B postures up in Zar's guard and throws a big left but Zar blocks it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

B stands up from guard. Let's bang!
B tries for a takedown but Zar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

B fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zar sprawls well initially but B persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zar is looking for a sweep. B is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
B is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
B seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
B not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Zar is refusing to be controlled, as B sits in half guard.
Zar wants to control but B is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Zar tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

B is working for a guillotine from mount but Zar frees his head quite easily.
B connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
B scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Zar?

B has control of Zar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zar regains control of the situation pretty easily.
B punishing his opponent with strikes.

B swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zar is now in B's guard. A big mistake from B there, giving up the dominant position!

B is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zar is aware though and is defending well.
B throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
B looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zar is one step ahead there.
Raz Zar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tony B is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
B is pulling down on Zar's head. It's preventing any offense from Zar, at least for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tony B showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for B, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
