Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Gwar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buddy Austin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ray Gwar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Gwar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buddy Austin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gwar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Austin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gwar swivels and escapes. Austin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gwar circles away. Nice sprawl there from Gwar as Austin shoots in. Ray Gwar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Austin. Austin misses with a body punch
and Gwar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Austin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Gwar counter with a right hand. Gwar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Austin on the side of the head. Austin shoots and misses and Gwar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gwar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Austin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Austin drives through with a takedown into guard. Gwar doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Austin drops back looking for a leg! Gwar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gwar manages to kick Austin off! Austin jumps back into Gwar's guard. Gwar looking to control.
Austin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Austin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gwar working for a triangle but Austin defends it easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gwar misses with an uppercut. Austin saw that one coming. Austin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gwar sprawls well initially but Austin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gwar is trying to control but can't.
Austin is trying to control the action in half guard but Gwar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Austin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gwar is trying to maintain the position but Austin is very close to passing his half guard. Austin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gwar sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gwar holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Austin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gwar is just riding it out for now. Austin eventually gives up the hold. Austin wants to control but Gwar is keeping him busy. Austin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Austin is trying to control. Gwar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gwar is looking to control Austin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gwar avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gwar is controlling Austin's position as best he can from this difficult position. Gwar is looking to control Austin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gwar avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Austin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gwar counters with a right hand to the body. Austin looks gassed! Austin with a lazy takedown attempt and Gwar counters with a series of strikes. Austin will be more careful next time no doubt. Gwar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Austin misses with a takedown attempt and Gwar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gwar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Austin on the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Gwar dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A left lands for Gwar. Buddy Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Austin. Austin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Austin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gwar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Austin thinking. Gwar dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gwar swings for the body but Austin moves out of range.
Gwar throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Austin is breathing heavily. Austin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gwar connects with a crisp jab. Gwar loads up on a big right hand but Austin slips the punch. Gwar misses with a straight left. Austin tries for a takedown but Gwar circles away easily letting Gwar counter with a right hand. Austin takes a shot right to the bread basket. No joy there for Gwar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gwar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gwar moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Gwar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Austin can do to turn this around? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Austin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gwar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Austin misses with a takedown attempt and Gwar counters with a series of strikes. Austin will be more careful next time no doubt. Gwar misses with a looping right. Austin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gwar. Gwar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Austin in his tracks. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Austin fails with the takedown and Gwar counters with a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Gwar dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

A head kick misses from Austin. Ray Gwar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Austin fails with the takedown and Gwar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Austin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Austin throws a leg kick that misses. Austin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gwar. Austin with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Gwar to counter with a crisp jab.

Gwar controlling the position well. Austin trying to control from half guard but Gwar is working away. Austin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gwar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Austin stalling away here and it's allowed Gwar to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Austin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Austin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gwar is trying to control Austin's posture but Austin avoids it. Austin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Gwar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gwar prevents Austin from improving position. Austin working away. Gwar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Austin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Austin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gwar counters with a series of strikes. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Austin tries for a takedown but Gwar circles away easily and Gwar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Austin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Austin shoots and misses and Gwar counters with a three punch combo that has Austin backing up. Austin nods at Gwar to acknowledge the strikes. Ray Gwar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Austin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Austin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Buddy Austin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Austin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Gwar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gwar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
