Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Ragh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Hero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jared Ragh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ragh looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hero!
Hero blocking the ground and pound.
Hero wants to control but Ragh is having none of it.
Hero flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hero is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hero tries to hold on but Ragh postures up.

Ragh has control of Hero's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hero regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hero tries to reverse the position but Ragh maintains control.

Ragh is going olschool here, as he tries to force Hero to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hero shrugs it off.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hero wants to control but Ragh is having none of it.
Ragh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ragh has hold of Hero's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hero manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ragh cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hero is working to get back to half guard.
Hero blocking the ground and pound.
Ragh pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hero sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Ragh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hero flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hero misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Ragh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ragh thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ragh has gone for a leg lock! Hero slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ragh's guard.

Ragh has momentary wrist control but Hero slips an elbow through the middle.
Hero with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hero missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ragh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ragh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hero is aware though and is defending well.
Hero postures up in Ragh's guard and throws a big left but Ragh blocks it.

Hero throws a big right hand that misses.

Ragh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hero can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hero drops back looking for a leg! Ragh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ragh manages to kick Hero off! Hero jumps back into Ragh's guard.

Hero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ragh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hero has managed to get both his arms back between Ragh's legs - danger averted.

Ragh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ragh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hero chips away with some ground and pound.
Hero is looking to work some ground and pound but Ragh has wrist control.
Hero throws a big right hand that misses.

Ragh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Ragh is looking for a triangle but Hero pushes his legs off easily.

Ragh looking for a guillotine here but Hero defends easily.
Hero content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hero chips away with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hero throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Hero is looking to stand up but Ragh isn't so interested in that idea.

Hero is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hero fails with the takedown

and Ragh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hero's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Hero. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ragh is working Hero over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ragh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ragh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hero is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ragh.
Hero with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ragh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Ragh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Ragh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hero looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ragh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hero wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Ragh is working for a submission of some sort.

Hero wants to control but Ragh is keeping busy.

Ragh is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hero has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hero thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Ragh prevents Hero from getting back to his feet.
Hero tries to strike from the bottom.
Ragh passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ragh works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ragh lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hero hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jared Ragh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Hero throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ragh was covering up waiting for the punch and Hero finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hero makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hero postures up in Ragh's guard and throws a big left but Ragh blocks it.

Hero is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ragh has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hero is looking to defend but Ragh has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hero! Ragh pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hero taps out and this one is all over!
