The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ken tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bourque paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shoryu Ken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bourque but Bourque pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ken fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ken walks straight into a right hand from Bourque - that's dropped him! Bourque jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ken from any more punishment! Ken complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
