The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
damage stuffs the takedown attempt from Wade. Wade gets slowly back to his feet.
damage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wade throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
damage decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wade blocks a jab.
Wade fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but damage avoids it really well and circles away.
Wade takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like James Wade has been cut.
max damage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around damage's waist but damage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wade off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Wade. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wade fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wade walks straight into a right hand from damage - that's dropped him! damage jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Wade from any more punishment! Wade complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
