The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cro Cop throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silva's head.
It looks like Adri Silva has been cut.
Cro Cop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Cro Cop jumps guard but Silva stands there with Cro Cop around his waist. Cro Cop gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Silva decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cro Cop has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Cro Cop is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cro Cop to the mat. Cro Cop regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva distracts Cro Cop with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cro Cop's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cro Cop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cro Cop off to one side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva moves into the clinch.
Cro Cop is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Silva connects with a knee to the head.
Cro Cop wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Cro Cop throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva blocks it with crossed arms.
Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Cro Cop rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cro Cop uses from the top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cro Cop accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
