Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nag Yurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with Set the control blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nag Yurai! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yurai fails to land the takedown. Silva swings away with a leg kick that misses. Yurai shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily. Yurai shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yurai showed some decent athleticism there. Silva is trying to control but can't.
Yurai throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Silva misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Yurai has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Yurai is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Yurai stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Yurai forces Silva back against the cage and clinches. Yurai prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Yurai shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Yurai tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Felipe Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nag Yurai. Silva is trying to drag Yurai to the mat but Yurai just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Yurai pulls him back up using the underhooks. Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Yurai wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance. Yurai shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Yurai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Yurai is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard. Yurai wants to stand up but Silva is controlling the position.
Yurai is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yurai is working for a submission of some sort.

Yurai tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Yurai is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silva is trying to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Yurai. Yurai trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Yurai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Yurai shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Yurai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Yurai looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yurai fails with a takedown attempt. Silva looks for a takedown but Yurai sprawls well. Yurai is looking to clinch. Yurai throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely. Silva gets a takedown into half guard. Yurai is pressing down on Silva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva prevents Yurai from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nag Yurai dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Yurai has managed to clinch.
Yurai has clasped his hands together around Silva's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Yurai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Yurai throwing shots but Silva is blocking nicely. Silva wants to get back to his feet.
Yurai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yurai is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Silva as he works his way to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva pushes Yurai off and gets back to his feet.
Silva shoots and misses and Yurai counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Yurai wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Yurai missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yurai controls from within his opponent's guard. Yurai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yurai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva is trying to control the position but Yurai postures up. Yurai slips nicely into half guard. Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Yurai sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yurai is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yurai is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Yurai is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Silva tries to roll over but Yurai keeps him under control. Silva is staying active underneath Yurai, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Yurai perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva avoids a kick to the body.
Yurai shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely. Yurai shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yurai wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Yurai is proving a slippery customer.
Yurai trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yurai gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Yurai shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yurai's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nag Yurai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Yurai is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. Yurai gets a trip takedown into half guard. Yurai stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Yurai. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yurai wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva is pulling down on Yurai's head to control his posture. Yurai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yurai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Yurai trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yurai looking to pass the guard. Yurai drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yurai has Silva in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yurai is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silva is looking to stand up but Yurai won't let him. Yurai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there. Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yurai working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.

Yurai is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Felipe Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nag Yurai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Yurai sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Nag Yurai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Yurai winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
