Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Pike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Frank Kongo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior Pike! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pike shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pike was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pike landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pike looking to finish with strikes here!
Kongo really is a fat lump. Pike looking to control but Kongo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pike content just to control the position here. Kongo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kongo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Pike jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kongo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kongo and Pike has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kongo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kongo is trying to control Pike's posture but Pike avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kongo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pike's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Pike tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kongo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pike is looking for submissions but instead, Kongo has regained full guard.
Kongo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pike defends well. Kongo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pike gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kongo is trying to control the position but Pike postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pike got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kongo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pike has managed to get both his arms back between Kongo's legs - danger averted. Pike is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kongo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kongo trying to keep a closed guard but Pike is proving a slippery customer.
Pike trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kongo's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pike throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kongo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kongo working a defensive guard here.
Kongo is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kongo wants to sweep here but Pike controlling him for the moment. Pike scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kongo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Pike shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pike was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pike really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kongo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kongo swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. The referee warns Kongo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kongo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kongo is working hard here to advance position. Pike postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kongo looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kongo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pike prevents Kongo from getting the reversal. The referee warns Kongo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pike pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kongo defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pike. Kongo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kongo gets back to half guard. Kongo actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Frank Kongo will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kongo misses with a takedown and Pike counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kongo's guard now. Pike trying to control the position from guard on top but Kongo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pike is looking to advance position but Kongo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Pike is squirming around, avoiding Kongo's attempts to control the action. Pike wants to control but Kongo is having none of it. Pike sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pike can do anything to dispel that myth. Pike is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pike trying to control but Kongo postures up.
Kongo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Pike is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frank Kongo!
