The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ky throws a hook but Steel avoids it easily.
Ky defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Steel.
Some wild striking there from Ky.
Ky slaps away a takedown attempt from Steel, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ky bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Sylvester Steel has been cut.
Ky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gaia Ky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sylvester Steel.
Ky jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Ky stuffs the takedown attempt from Steel. Steel gets slowly back to his feet.

Steel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Steel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steel.
Ky is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ky is defending against the submission attempts here by Steel.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ky fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Ky throws a combination. Steel tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Steel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Steel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ky finds it's way round the side to connect with Steel's head.

Ky lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ky.

Ky stands up from Steel's guard - Ky perhaps looking for a knockout.
Steel looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ky lands a right hand from hell, dropping Steel. Ky pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
