Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Vodkastov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vodkastov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, John Lennon - Imagine. Rasputin has chosen TURISAS - Rasputin as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Vodkastov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Rasputin does no damage. Vodkastov leaves Rasputin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Vodkastov fails with a takedown attempt. Rasputin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vodkastov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vodkastov tries to clinch but Rasputin is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasputin tries to clinch up and Vodkastov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rasputin's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vodkastov wants to pass the guard but Rasputin is keeping the position. Vodkastov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rasputin's head. Vodkastov wants to control from the top but Rasputin keeps moving. Rasputin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vodkastov working some strikes from top position. Vodkastov looking to sit in guard and control but Rasputin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vodkastov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rasputin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rasputin won't allow Vodkastov to sweep him here. Vodkastov is trying to control the position but Rasputin postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin stopping the sweep attempt from Vodkastov. Vodkastov punching from the bottom - just letting Rasputin know he's still in a fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vodkastov looking for a sweep. Not yet Vodkastov, not yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rasputin closes the distance but Vodkastov moves to the side and Vodkastov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rasputin! Vodkastov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rasputin looks a forlorn figure.
Rasputin is looking to improve his position but Vodkastov isn't that keen on the idea. Vodkastov connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vodkastov wants to control the pace but Rasputin is squirming around nicely. Vodkastov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vodkastov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Vodkastov is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Rasputin is looking to get to half guard. Rasputin wants to hold on but Vodkastov pushes him away. Vodkastov landing shots from mount. Rasputin is wriggling around trying to escape.

It looks like Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has been cut. Rasputin looks gassed! Vodkastov cracks Rasputin with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Vodkastov! Vladimir Vodkastov retains his super heavyweight title!
