Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Vippera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 24 theme song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Saku Vippera!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vippera needs to keep his hands up - Almeida had a free shot at his head there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vippera is defended easily by Almeida.
Vippera misses with an attempted mid kick.

Vippera clinches.
Almeida stops a takedown attempt from Vippera.
Vippera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Almeida smiles and moves away.
Anthony Almeida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saku Vippera.

Almeida takes the fight into the clinch.
Vippera gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Almeida.

Almeida successfully pulls guard.
Vippera wants to control from the top but Almeida keeps moving.
Vippera is stalling in the full guard.

Almeida pushes Vippera off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Almeida misses the jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vippera dives in and grabs Almeida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Almeida pushes down on Vippera's head and hops out.
Vippera shoots in but no luck this time.
Almeida closes the distance looking to clinch

and Vippera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Almeida is pressing down on Vippera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Vippera is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Almeida has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vippera is looking to defend but Almeida has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vippera! Almeida pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vippera taps out and this one is all over!
