Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kari Taalasmaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuele Oren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oren is defended easily by Taalasmaa.
Oren shoots in looking for a takedown. Taalasmaa tries to sprawl out of it but Oren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taalasmaa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Taalasmaa misses with a takedown attempt - Oren sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Taalasmaa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Oren on the side of the head.

It looks like Samuele Oren has been cut.

Oren lands with a slapping head kick.
Taalasmaa looks to land a right hand but Oren moved out of range.
Taalasmaa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oren pinned against the cage. Oren gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Taalasmaa is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Taalasmaa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oren with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Taalasmaa connects with a nice short shot to Oren's temple.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Taalasmaa in particular looking to stall.
Kari Taalasmaa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
