Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Schaeffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hollins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Prodigy - Warrior's Dance. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Hollins! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Schaeffer does no damage. Schaeffer tries to clinch up. Hollins lands a nice looking body shot.
Hollins looks to clinch and Schaeffer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schaeffer. Hollins keeping full guard, as Schaeffer tries to pass. Schaeffer won't allow Hollins to get back to his feet. Hollins pulls Schaeffer in to control the position. Schaeffer controlling from the top position. Hollins is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hollins looking for a sweep. Not yet Hollins, not yet. Hollins controlling Schaeffer's posture. Schaeffer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hollins looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schaeffer trying to control the position from guard on top but Hollins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hollins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hollins is working an open guard so Schaeffer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Schaeffer rushes Hollins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Schaeffer blocks an elbow strike from Hollins.
Hollins scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Dutch Schaeffer has been cut. Hollins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Schaeffer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hollins forces Schaeffer back against the cage and clinches. Hollins is working for takedown but Schaeffer is calmly controlling the position for now. Schaeffer tries for a takedown but Hollins manages to get underhooks.
Schaeffer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hollins pulls his leg out and moves away.
Schaeffer is breathing heavily. Hollins tries to bum rush Schaeffer with a series of wild strikes but Schaeffer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hollins has closed the distance and engaged Schaeffer in a clinch.
Hollins lands a body shot in the clinch.
Hollins wants the takedown. Schaeffer is fighting it off but Hollins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Schaeffer's guard against the cage. Hollins is stalling in the full guard. Hollins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schaeffer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hollins has managed to get both his arms back between Schaeffer's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hollins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hollins wants to pass the guard but Schaeffer is keeping the position. Hollins works a leg free and moves into half guard. Schaeffer is trying to maintain the position but Hollins is very close to passing his half guard. Hollins is controlling the pace.
Schaeffer tries to get to full guard but Hollins has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Schaeffer won't allow Hollins to pass to mount. Hollins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Despite being in the dominant position, Paul Hollins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schaeffer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hollins tries to clinch but fails miserably and Schaeffer counters with a head kick. Hollins tries to clinch but Schaeffer moves away so Schaeffer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hollins uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hollins moves in looking to clinch but Schaeffer pushes him off. Hollins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hollins clinches but Schaeffer breaks the clinch and Schaeffer counters with a one-two to the body. Hollins tries to clinch there but Schaeffer circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Hollins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dutch Schaeffer's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Schaeffer fails with a takedown attempt. Schaeffer checks the leg kick. Hollins waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Schaeffer. Hollins throws a series of punches but Schaeffer avoids them all with ease. Hollins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Schaeffer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hollins closes the distance but Schaeffer moves to the side and Schaeffer counters with a takedown into side control. Dutch Schaeffer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hollins wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hollins tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hollins manages to get back to half guard. Hollins keeps control of the position for the meantime. Schaeffer prevents Hollins from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schaeffer trying to control from half guard but Hollins is working away. Schaeffer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hollins is positioning himself well to prevent Schaeffer advancing to mount. Hollins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Schaeffer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Schaeffer's back! Hollins controlling from the back.

Schaeffer trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Hollins is riding his opponent, not letting Schaeffer buck him off. Hollins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Schaeffer wants to control his opponent's hands but Hollins gets his hands free. Schaeffer is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hollins advances position into side control! Hollins has knee on belly and moves into mount. Hollins controlling the position easily from mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Schaeffer tries to break free.
Hollins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Schaeffer's body.
Schaeffer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hollins tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Schaeffer counters by moving into the clinch. A short uppercut from Hollins. A nice right hand lands inside from Hollins. Schaeffer goes for a takedown attempt but Hollins pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dutch Schaeffer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hollins fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Schaeffer checks it well.

Paul Hollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hollins lands with a hook. Schaeffer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hollins moves in looking to clinch but Schaeffer pushes him off. Schaeffer throws a low kick but Hollins avoids it. Hollins tries to clinch up but Schaeffer circles away and keeps his distance. Hollins tries to clinch and Schaeffer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hollins is trying to get back to full guard. Schaeffer prevents Hollins from standing back up.
Schaeffer prevents Hollins from improving his position. Hollins is not content to let Schaeffer control the position. Dutch Schaeffer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Schaeffer has gone for a leg lock! Hollins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Schaeffer's guard. Schaeffer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Paul Hollins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Schaeffer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hollins is one step ahead there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schaeffer keeping full guard, as Hollins tries to pass. Hollins showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
