The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zandonadi tries to clinch but Filho is having none of it.
Vinicius Zandonadi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filho throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Zandonadi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Zandonadi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Filho misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Filho is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Zandonadi pulls his head out easily.

Filho tries to roll over but Zandonadi keeps him under control.

Filho is not content to let Zandonadi control the position.

Zandonadi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Filho is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Zandonadi pulls his head out easily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Filho leaves Zandonadi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Filho misses with a head kick.
Filho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Filho throwing shots but Zandonadi is blocking nicely.
Filho not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Filho in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zandonadi tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Filho!
