Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jan Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Alston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alston's choice of entrance music: New World Order. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Karlsson wants to clinch. Karlsson looks to land a combination but Alston avoids it well. Karlsson tries to land a front kick but Alston steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Karlsson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alston's waist but Alston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Karlsson off to one side. Alston shoots in and drives through. Karlsson sprawls well. Karlsson closes the distance and clinches. Karlsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karlsson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karlsson. Karlsson keeps the fight on the outside. Alston clinches but Karlsson breaks the clinch and Karlsson counters with a right hand to the body. Alston doesn't manage to clinch there - Karlsson circles away.
Karlsson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Alston looks gassed! Alston closes the distance but Karlsson moves to the side and Karlsson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Karlsson rushes Alston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Alston with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Alston is working for takedown but Karlsson is calmly controlling the position for now. Karlsson landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Alston tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Alston clinches but Karlsson breaks the clinch and Karlsson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alston won't be happy with that. Alston is looking to regain half guard here but Karlsson keeps moving and retains side control. Alston is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Karlsson off and has taken his back! Alston looking for the choke from the back. Alston looking for the RNC. Alston trying to control. Alston is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Karlsson with him. Karlsson is trying to defend but Alston has an arm under the chin now! Karlsson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
