Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Lindh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pierre Lindh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lindh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lindh throwing strikes from guard but Walter blocks nicely.

Lindh decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Walter, up you get!
Walter does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lindh shoots in for a takedown but Walter shows good takedown defense.

Walter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lindh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walter's guard.
Walter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lindh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Walter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lindh on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lindh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Walter is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lindh is keeping busy.

Lindh circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lindh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walter's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lindh is keen to just control but Walter is a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Walter throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lindh blocks it with crossed arms.
Lindh tries for a takedown but Walter manages to get underhooks.

Walter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Walter counters with a good low kick that Lindh was not able to check.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Walter wants to clinch but Lindh slips to the side

Lindh is working for a guillotine from mount but Walter frees his head quite easily.

Pierre Lindh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BOOM! Lindh connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Lindh jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Walter manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Walter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Lindh gets to mount! Walter was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Walter tries to hold on but Lindh pushes him away.
Lindh can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walter is looking to escape.
Walter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Walter really wants to buck Lindh off and get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lindh tries to control but Walter wriggling away.

Lindh is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Walter is surviving well by controlling Lindh's body position as best he can.
Walter is working to get back to half guard.
Lindh lands a big shot there that rocks Walter but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Charlie Walter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
