The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Marshall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leer as he jumps to the side.
Leer tries to bum rush Marshall with a series of wild strikes but Marshall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marshall connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A slapping leg kick lands for Leer.
No joy there for Leer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marshall misses with a two punch combination.
Marshall shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marshall.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roan Marshall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leer fails with a takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown by Leer or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall which made him look bad.

Marshall shoots in and drives through. Leer sprawls well.

Leer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Roan Marshall has been cut.
Leer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Marshall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Leer feints and as Marshall raises his hands in defense, Leer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marshall is trying to keep Leer in close.
Leer drops back looking for a leg! Marshall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marshall manages to kick Leer off! Leer jumps back into Marshall's guard.
Leer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Marshall looks to land a body kick but Leer moved away.
Leer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A head kick misses from Marshall.
Leer wants to clinch.
Marshall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Leer is looking to clinch.
Leer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Leer misses with the combination.
Marshall misses with a few strikes there.
Leer takes the fight into the clinch.
Marshall tries to circle away but Leer has him pinned against the cage.
Leer is trying to drag Marshall to the mat but Marshall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Leer has Marshall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Marshall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Leer misses with a combination
and Marshall counters with a stiff right hand.
Leer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marshall misses with a series of wild punches.
Leer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marshall has managed to clinch.
Leer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marshall dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Marshall lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Marshall.
Leer scores with a three punch combo!
Marshall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marshall showed some decent athleticism there.
Marshall is nestled in close to Leer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marshall throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Leer pushes Marshall off looking to stand but Marshall dives back in and keeps control.
Leer is in trouble now - Marshall has advanced to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Leer tries to clinch up but Marshall circles away and keeps his distance.
Marshall moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Leer swinging wilding here.
Marshall throws a one two combo.
Leer shoots for a double leg takedown but Marshall sprawls well. He's pushed Leer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Marshall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leer.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A lazy left from Marshall finds it's target.
Horrible takedown by Leer or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall which made him look bad.

Marshall tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Leer tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Leer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Leer with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Leer misses with a knee to the head.
Leer throws a punch but it's blocked by Marshall.
Marshall keeps control of Leer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marshall misses with a double jab.
Leer lands with a nice combination. Marshall backs away looking to recover.
Leer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Leer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Leer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Marshall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leer sprawls well. Leer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet.
Leer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marshall circles away quickly and effectively.
Leer tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Marshall counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Leer has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Marshall clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Marshall turns into Leer and is now in his guard.
Marshall pushing down on Leer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Marshall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leer defends it well.
Leer wants to get back to his feet.
Leer wants to control but Marshall passes into side.
Marshall is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Leer is trying to escape and Marshall transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Leer is forced to tap! Nice work there by Marshall! Very nice indeed!
