Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makebono Bowen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Earl Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anderson.
Bowen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Anderson slips a jab and a cross from Bowen.
Bowen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bowen lands a big uppercut and Anderson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Anderson looks OK. Bowen waves Anderson back to his feet!


It looks like Earl Anderson has been cut.

Bowen tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bowen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Anderson drives through and clinches with Bowen against the cage.
Bowen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anderson has him pressed against the cage.
Bowen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
