Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said Knock You Out. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luiz Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raul Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily. Sanchez fakes the leg kick and cracks Miller in the body. Miller moves out of range as Sanchez throws a body kick.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Miller pushes him off. Sanchez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt and Miller holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Miller manages to pull guard.
Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard. Miller slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Miller stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sanchez is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miller working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller tries to move to full mount but Sanchez actually manages to regain half guard. Sanchez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miller. Miller looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Miller trying to control the action but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sanchez gets off balance looking for a body kick and Miller counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sanchez! Miller working Sanchez over with strikes here. Miller wants to take Sanchez's back here but Sanchez is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez wants to control but Miller is having none of it. Miller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sanchez turns into him and now he's in Miller's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to keep Sanchez in close.
Miller is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanchez defends well. Miller is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Miller is breathing heavily. Sanchez stays in close to Miller's body and controls the position. Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sanchez wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position. Sanchez advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A lull in the action here as Sanchez stalls from top position. Sanchez trying to control the action but Miller is working from the bottom. Sanchez misses with the ground and pound. Luiz Miller dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sanchez looks for the body kick but Miller saw that one coming. Sanchez tries to clinch but Miller moves away and Miller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sanchez's guard. Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment. Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sanchez has escaped the position, nice work there. Sanchez regains half guard there - taking advantage of Miller's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller. Miller is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sanchez has managed to free his arm - good work. Sanchez wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.

He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sanchez! Miller can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sanchez is looking to escape. Miller takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Miller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Miller looking to ground and pound but Sanchez is blocking nicely. Sanchez is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Sanchez is looking to improve his position but Miller isn't that keen on the idea. Miller goes for an armbar but Sanchez turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sanchez. Sanchez won't allow Miller to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Miller looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Miller dives in and grabs Sanchez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes down on Miller's head and hops out. Luiz Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Miller is defending well for now. Sanchez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miller.

That's one minute gone in the round. Miller avoids a wild elbow strike from Sanchez. Sanchez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Miller with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Miller jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sanchez walks away with a smile on his face. Miller gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Miller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sanchez. A combination from Sanchez does no damage. Luiz Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller trying to control but Sanchez is having none of it. Miller controlling from mount. Sanchez wants to control but Miller is having none of it.

Miller forces the positional change into back control. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez just trying to survive but Miller is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Raul Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sanchez is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Miller is staying active. Luiz Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miller is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Miller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luiz Miller. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
