Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Lanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurt Angle looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanza closes the distance and clinches up with Angle, looking for a takedown. Lanza pushes Angle against the cage but Angle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Angle looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Angle misses with a takedown attempt
and Lanza counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lanza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Angle keeping moving, preventing Lanza from controlling successfully.
Lanza not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lanza wants to control from the top but Angle keeps moving.
Lanza stays in close to Angle's body and controls the position.
Lanza thows a big elbow that misses.
Angle is looking for a triangle but Lanza pushes his legs off easily.
Lanza gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lanza closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Lanza drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lanza trying to control the position from guard on top but Angle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Angle tries to strike from the bottom.
Lanza drops back looking for a leg! Angle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Angle manages to kick Lanza off! Lanza jumps back into Angle's guard.
Angle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lanza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Angle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lanza is one step ahead there.
Lanza stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lanza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Angle counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Angle wants to work for an arm triangle but Lanza is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Angle thows a huge punch but Lanza dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Angle is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Angle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lanza regains full guard. Nicely done.
Angle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lanza controls Angle momentarily but Angle frees himself.
Angle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lanza on the ground.
Lanza is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Angle frees his head nicely. Oh but Lanza has switched to an armbar! Angle is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
