The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but peacock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cheese tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
peacock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cheese avoids it really well and circles away.
Cheese wants to clinch.
Cheese has taken the fight to the clinch.
peacock is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cheese breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cheese tries to clinch but peacock moves out of range.
peacock dives in and grabs Cheese's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cheese pushes down on peacock's head and hops out.

peacock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cheese, who protects the arm well.

Cheese tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but peacock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Cheese counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cheese.

peacock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cheese is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of peacock, into his guard.
peacock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cheese is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cheese stands up and waves to peacock to follow him.
Cheese wants to clinch but peacock slips to the side
and peacock counters with a nice double leg into guard.

peacock feints and as Cheese raises his hands in defense, peacock changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
peacock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cheese swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cheese wants to sweep here but peacock controlling him for the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
