Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Boy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jay Rees's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Rees! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Boy! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rees showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boy.
Boy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rees napping and manages to drive through into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rees is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Rees is trying to control Boy's posture but Boy avoids it. Boy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Rees is looking for a sweep. Rees tries to control but Boy manages to take his back. Rees wants to escape the position.
Boy misses with a punch to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy scores with punches and elbows. Even with his hooks in, Boy manages to miss with strikes from the back. Boy throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rees trying to get back to his feet but Boy is in full control for now. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Rees looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boy controls the action. Boy working for a choke but Rees is defending well. Boy doesn't have the hooks in and Rees manages to turn into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy looking for a sweep. Not yet Boy, not yet. Boy pushes Rees off and gets back to his feet.
A left and a right from Rees both land. Nice combination. Rees feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boy's calf. Rees lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boy will feel that in the morning. Boy shoots in and drives through. Rees sprawls well. Boy tries to clinch but Rees moves out of range. Rees shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boy as he avoids it easily. Boy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rees counters with a takedown into side control. Boy looks gassed! Rees tries to stand but Boy is controlling his head. Boy struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rees tries to stand but Boy controls the position and pulls Rees into his guard. Rees knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boy on the ground. Rees throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boy uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rees's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Rees duly obliges. Boy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rees swivels and escapes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boy shoots in but no luck this time. Jay Rees has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Boy. Rees dips to his left and cracks Boy with an uppercut! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jay Rees will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Rees connects with a high kick. Boy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rees to score an easy takedown into full guard. Boy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boy has a closed guard, preventing Rees from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rees trying to move into half guard but instead Boy has managed to sweep! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rees is looking to stand up but Boy isn't so interested in that idea. Boy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rees wants to get back to his feet but Boy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Boy passes Rees's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rees is trying to escape back to his feet but Boy uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Boy lands a nice forearm strike. Boy looks up at the clock and then as Rees takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Boy decides to stand back up. Boy steps back and let's Rees get back to his feet. Boy misses with a takedown attempt and Rees holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rees can't break the clinch.
Rees wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Boy successfully pulls guard.
Boy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rees keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boy scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rees?
Rees tries to hold on but Boy postures up. Boy with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rees tries to hold on but Boy pushes him away. Boy controlling the pace for now. Boy breaks from Rees's wrist control and lands an elbow. Boy working Rees over with strikes here. Boy wants to control the pace but Rees is squirming around nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rees tries to hold on but Boy postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Billy Boy will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rees looks to clinch so Boy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rees utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Boy stopping the sweep attempt from Rees. Rees manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rees avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy shoots in and drives through. Rees sprawls well. Rees moves in looking to clinch but Boy pushes him off. Rees tries to close the distance and clinch but Boy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rees showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rees looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boy keeps the fight on the outside. Rees throws a good cross that connects.
Rees tries to clinch but Boy moves out of range. Boy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rees counters with a head kick. That will keep Boy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Rees takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Boy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boy shoots for a takedown but Rees saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jay Rees has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Boy. Rees lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boy circles away quickly and effectively. Rees clinches but Boy breaks the clinch and Boy counters with a thumping low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rees clinches up against the cage. Boy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rees scores with a three punch combo!

Boy fails in his attempt to clinch. Boy tries to clinch up but Rees circles away and keeps his distance. Rees keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rees bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rees looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rees has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rees wants to take a breather but Boy manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rees. Boy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rees's guard. Rees looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boy puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Boy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rees is trying to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Billy Boy. I think Boy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
