Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Lackey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Deliverance. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit dives in and grabs Lackey's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lackey pushes down on Fertit's head and hops out.
Fertit chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lackey can pounce on him.
Fertit looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lackey is fending him off so far but Fertit persists. Nope, Lackey circles away and we're back to standing.
Fertit shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lackey but Lackey pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fertit has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lackey has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
