Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tonot Get (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tonot Get! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Sampson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson throws a shot from downtown. Get moves away and avoids it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sampson is defended easily by Get. Get misses with a looping left. Get shoots and misses and Sampson counters with a left to the body. Sampson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Get moves away. Get fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sampson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Get was well out of range. Poor timing from Sampson. Sampson gets a clinch. Get changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sampson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sampson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Get's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sampson stays in close to Get's body and controls the position. Sampson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sampson staying calm. Get is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sampson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Get striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Get manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sampson's best efforts. Sampson trying to mount his opponent but Get defends it. Sampson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sampson passes the guard and advances to mount! Sampson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Get's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Get working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Get is in all sorts of trouble here.
Get is working hard here to advance position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sampson controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Sampson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Get fails with the takedown and Sampson counters with a shoot takedown. Get fights it but they end up in guard. Get looking to control.
Get is really struggling to control Sampson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Sampson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Get has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sampson has managed to get both his arms back between Get's legs - danger averted. Sampson content to stall in guard here. Get working for a triangle but Sampson defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sampson forces his way into half guard. Sampson is pressing down on Get's thigh, looking to free his foot. Get is holding on for now. Get is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sampson pulls his head out easily. Sampson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Get wants to get back to his feet. Get trying to control from the bottom.
Get actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Get has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sampson is working away from the top position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sampson blocks a head kick by Get.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Get moves out of range of the strikes. Get walks into a left hand. Get throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tonot Get is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Get tries to close the distance and clinch but Sampson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Get tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Get to the ground. Get escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Get displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sampson. Get avoids the body shot from Sampson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Get fails with the takedown and Sampson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Get thinking. Sampson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sampson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sampson avoids the attempt from Get to control. Sampson controlling from mount. Sampson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Sampson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Get's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Sampson fails with the takedown. Sampson clinches up with Get and pushes him back against the cage. Get manages to pull guard.
Sampson preventing the sweep. Sampson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sampson postures up.
Get has his foot on Sampson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sampson works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sampson content to stall in guard here. Sampson stopping the sweep attempt from Get. Sampson trying to control the position from guard on top but Get is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sampson postures up.
Get looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sampson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Get gets full guard. Sampson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Get looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sampson has picked Get up and slammed him! Get can't keep hold of the triangle and Sampson manages to pass to side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sampson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Get will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Get tries to buck Sampson off but Sampson is having none of it. Sampson gets to mount! Get was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Get keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sampson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Steve Sampson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Get keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sampson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Sampson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sampson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
