Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mickolai Mousoveski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, frank mir! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mousoveski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. mir avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. mir throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as mir holds on and takes a little breather. mir manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
mir is landing with some decent strikes but Mousoveski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
It looks like Mickolai Mousoveski has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. mir unloading with bombs! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Poor strikes thrown by mir there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
mir stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Mousoveski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. mir has Mousoveski up against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Mousoveski scores with a nice short uppercut. Mousoveski lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of mir backwards. Mousoveski is trying to break the clinch but mir has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. mir tries to circle away but Mousoveski has him pinned against the cage. Mousoveski wants a takedown.
Mousoveski is breathing heavily. mir wants to break the clinch but can't.
mir gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mousoveski regains guard.
mir passes Mousoveski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mousoveski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for mir on the ground. mir passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mousoveski! mir content just to control the position here. mir has isolated one of Mousoveski's arms. Mousoveski looking to fight him off but mir twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
