Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Mahlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Cox has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Cox seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mahlik is fending him off so far but Cox persists. Nope, Mahlik circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cox.

Cox closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mahlik manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mahlik wants to sweep but no luck.
Mahlik will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mahlik is trying to keep Cox in close.
Mahlik bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cox's guard.

Cox controls Mahlik momentarily but Mahlik frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mahlik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
