The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu throws a series of punches but negron avoids them all with ease.
negron looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wu throws a right and a left that negron avoids nicely.

It looks like michael negron has been cut.
Wu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed negron momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wu throws a strike but negron rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

negron passes Wu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Wu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wu flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now negron is on top in guard.

negron has Wu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Wu has had enough of the clinch but negron keeps him there for the moment.
negron tries to stall but Wu uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Wu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

negron changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
