Rodriguez has chosen Sexy Bitch as his entrance music. Mario Rodriguez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mario Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez throws a sloppy head kick and Bowness moves out of range easily. Bowness misses with a two punch combination.
Rodriguez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jab, jab by Bowness - just one landing.
It looks like Mario Rodriguez has been cut. Rodriguez instigates a clinch. Bowness is trying to break the clinch but Rodriguez is controlling him. Rodriguez works on Bowness's body with a couple of short punches. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rodriguez just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bowness's brow. Rodriguez stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Bowness tries to circle away but Rodriguez has him pinned against the cage. Rodriguez has Bowness pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bowness manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bowness working aggressively here.
Bowness can't break the clinch.
Bowness is trying to break free. A short right from Rodriguez on the inside. Bowness wants to get back to striking at distance but Rodriguez won't allow it.
Rodriguez stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Bowness working hard to break the clinch. Bowness wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rodriguez keeps control of Bowness as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bowness has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rodriguez lands a body shot in the clinch.

Bowness throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rodriguez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bowness finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Rodriguez is rocked! Bowness steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Rodriguez is out on his feet! Bowness sets himself and nearly takes Rodriguez's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
