Petreski comes to the cage accompanied by I Had to Kill a Lot of People. Alik Mikhailov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vlad Petreski's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petreski stalks Mikhailov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mikhailov's face. Mikhailov staggers backwards, shaken.

Mikhailov gets the takedown into side control.
Petreski wants to control but Mikhailov postures up.
Petreski is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Mikhailov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Mikhailov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Petreski is trying to maintain the position but Mikhailov is very close to passing his half guard.
Petreski wants to get back to his feet.
Petreski trying to control from the bottom.

Petreski flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Petreski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mikhailov is thwarting Petreski's attempts to control the position.
Mikhailov is looking to take a break and control but Petreski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Petreski gets the takedown into side control.

and Petreski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mikhailov's guard.

Petreski wants to get up but he can't break Mikhailov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Petreski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mikhailov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Petreski has managed to get both his arms back between Mikhailov's legs - danger averted.

Petreski drops back looking for a leg! Mikhailov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mikhailov manages to kick Petreski off! Petreski jumps back into Mikhailov's guard.
Petreski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mikhailov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Petreski is posturing up here but Mikhailov has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Petreski tries to roll out but it's too tight and Petreski has to tap! Slick submission there by Mikhailov!
