Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vichnou Shiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Bloc Party - Banquet. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Shiva, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Shiva against the cage but Shiva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Shiva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shiva is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Shiva prevents Jones from improving his position.

Jones wants to control but Shiva is keeping busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones is looking to clinch but Shiva is avoiding it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shiva!
Shiva sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Shiva manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Shiva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jones is in close to Shiva's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Shiva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones wants to control from the top but Shiva keeps moving.

Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shiva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shiva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shiva!

Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Shiva trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well.
Shiva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones is breathing heavily.
Shiva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Jones tries to roll over but Shiva keeps him under control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Shiva keeps the fight on the outside.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Shiva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Jones will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones tries to bum rush Shiva with a series of wild strikes but Shiva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Shiva blocks a head kick by Jones.

Jones feints and as Shiva raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shiva is on top in guard.

Shiva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Shiva tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.

Jones is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shiva has his hands clasped together but Jones extends an breaks Shiva's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jones.
