The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwager tries to score a power double leg takedown but Redman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schwager somewhat.
Schwager lands with a kick to the ribs.
Redman slaps away a takedown attempt from Schwager, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Norbert Schwager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Redman drives through and clinches with Schwager against the cage.
Redman is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Schwager can't get the takedown.
Mason Redman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Norbert Schwager.
Redman stalls.

Redman is trying to trip Schwager. He has hold of a leg but Schwager is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Redman persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Schwager has one foot on Redman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Redman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Redman is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Redman is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Redman!
