A combination from Valjakkala does no damage.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valjakkala as he jumps to the side.
Valjakkala misses with an uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target.
Valjakkala misses the shot to the body.
Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Valjakkala pinned against the cage. Valjakkala gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Valjakkala as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarpi Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Valjakkala moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Johnson goes down! Can Valjakkala finish him!?
It looks like Jarpi Johnson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Valjakkala is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Valjakkala's back instead.
Johnson throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Valjakkala is trapped and Johnson is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Valjakkala has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Valjakkala is tapping out! This one is all over!
