Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Boxer! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxer dips to his left and cracks Jones with an uppercut!
It looks like Jim Jones has been cut. Jones rushes Boxer and presses him up against the cage. Jones creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Boxer is trying to break free. Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Boxer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Joe Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boxer sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Boxer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Boxer lands with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boxer thows a body shot but no joy. No joy there for Boxer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Boxer!
Boxer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jones is rocked!
Jim Jones's cut is getting worse. Boxer throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Boxer lands a left and a right that sends Jones crashing to the canvas! Boxer dives into mount looking to finish! Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones tries to hold on but Boxer postures up. Jones is breathing heavily. Boxer controlling the position easily from mount. Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Jones is trying to maintain the position but Boxer is very close to passing his half guard. It looks like Boxer is going to stand back up.
Boxer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Boxer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer controlling the pace for now. Jones regains half guard. Jones trying to control here.
Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Boxer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jones won't allow Boxer to pass to mount. Jones manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones being controlled here, momentarily. Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Boxer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Boxer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jim Jones's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boxer.
A jab-cross combination lands for Boxer and sends Jones crashing to the mat! Boxer follows him down to the mat - Jones regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Jones looking for submissions off his back. Jones won't allow Boxer to pass to mount. Boxer trying to control the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Boxer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Joe Boxer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boxer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boxer misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice uppercut there from Boxer.
Jim Jones's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jeez, Jim Jones's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Boxer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jim Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boxer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. A punch combination from Boxer misses. Boxer throws a good cross that connects.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jim Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Joe Boxer!
