Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krayzie Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Azamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krayzie Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joshua Azamora!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Azamora sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bone somewhat.

and Bone counters by clinching up.
Azamora is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bone is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Azamora is defending well for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Azamora tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Azamora lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bone sprawling to the canvas. Azamora follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bone hang on?


It looks like Krayzie Bone has been cut.
Bone is looking for a sweep. Azamora is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Azamora tries to stand and escape but Bone is controlling the position.
Azamora wants to control but Bone is keeping him busy.
Azamora prevents Bone from improving his position.
Azamora is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Azamora in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Azamora moves in looking to clinch but Bone pushes him off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bone uses his free foot to push down on Azamora's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Azamora.

Bone misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Azamora wants to control but Bone is having none of it.
Bone lands a big elbow.
Bone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bone scoring with strikes but Azamora is staying in there.
Bone throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Azamora because Bone loaded up on that one.

Azamora wants to hold on but Bone pushes him away.

Azamora's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azamora takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bone trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Bone is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bone lands a heavy elbow.

Bone has hold of Azamora's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Azamora manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Azamora tries to reverse the position but Bone maintains control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Azamora is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Azamora throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

so Bone counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bone is pushing down on Azamora's leg trying to pass to half guard. Azamora is fighting to maintain full guard but Bone has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bone uses his free foot to push down on Azamora's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Azamora.

Azamora wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Bone breaks from Azamora's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Azamora is desperately trying to improve his position but Bone has a good base and remains in mount.
The referee warns Azamora that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
BOOM! Bone connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Bone cracks Azamora with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Azamora sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Bone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Azamora keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Bone decides to stand and escape the position.
Bone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Azamora gets caught flat footed, as Bone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Azamora working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Bone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Azamora's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Bone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Azamora manages to avoid it.
Azamora lands with a nice combination. Bone backs away looking to recover.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Azamora misses with a straight left.
Bone swats away the attempt to clinch by Azamora.
Azamora looks for a takedown but Bone sprawls well.

Bone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Azamora is trying to buck Bone off.
Bone tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bone controls the position from side control.
Joshua Azamora has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bone is really struggling to control Azamora but he's trying to hold on to the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Azamora just misses with a punch to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Krayzie Bone.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
