Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Hydle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derek Hydle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Derek Hydle! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carlton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hydle stuffs the takedown attempt from Carlton. Carlton gets slowly back to his feet. Hydle fails to land the takedown. Carlton tries for a takedown but Hydle circles away easily and Hydle counters with a single leg into guard. Carlton didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Carlton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carlton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hydle's guard. Carlton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carlton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hydle trying to control the position.
Hydle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Carlton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Carlton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carlton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Carlton wants to pass the guard but Hydle is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlton has gone for a leg lock! Hydle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Carlton's guard. Carlton is breathing heavily. Hydle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hydle sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hydle advances to half guard. Hydle keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Carlton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Carlton actively working from the bottom here. Hydle drops an elbow to the side of Carlton's head. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hydle in particular looking to stall. Carlton actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hydle working over Carlton with some ground and pound. Carlton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Carlton moves into full guard.

Hydle won't allow Carlton to sweep him here. Hydle has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Carlton to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hydle is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Carlton pulls down on the head and he's put Hydle to sleep! This one is all over!
