Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Weezy Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Fireman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Carter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pong pinned against the cage. Pong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pong takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Pong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pong wants it to stay on the feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Pong throws a right and a left that both miss.

Carter tries to land a front kick but Pong steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Pong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Pong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pong misses with a few strikes there.
Carter lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pong will feel that in the morning.
Carter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Carter is looking to wear down Pong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Pong's temple.
