Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Weezy Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Fireman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Weezy Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pat Pong! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Pong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A punch combination from Pong misses. Pong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pong takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A chopping leg kick lands by Carter. Carter wants to slow Pong down by chopping away at his legs. Carter is looking to land body kicks. Carter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pong. Pong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pong wants it to stay on the feet. Pong tries a head kick but it misses.
Pong gets caught flat footed, as Carter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pong keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully. Pong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pong is trying to keep Carter in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter throws a big right hand that misses. Pong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pong is trying to control the position but Carter postures up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pong can do anything to dispel that myth. Carter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Carter cracks Pong with an elbow. That is naaassty. Carter working away. Pong is looking for a sweep. Carter content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Carter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Pong's face as Carter controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pong is looking to regain half guard here but Carter keeps moving and retains side control. Pong is not content to let Carter control the position. Pong is letting Carter control him for a moment. Pong tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Pong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The referee asks Carter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carter prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pong is not content to let Carter control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pong is looking to clinch. Carter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pong tries to close the distance and clinch but Carter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pong walks forward, straight into a front kick from Carter. Pong throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Carter's head.
Carter is rocked! Pong looks gassed! Pong tries to clinch there but Carter circles away.
Carter throws a body punch but Pong moves out of range. Carter feints and as Pong raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carter trying to control but Pong is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pong is trying to control the position but Carter postures up. Carter thows a big elbow that misses. Pong trying to control the position.
Pong keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass. Carter wants to control from the top but Pong keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pong is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Weezy Carter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pong throws a right and a left that both miss. Weezy Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carter. Carter chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Pong shows good takedown defense. Carter looks to land a right hand but Pong moved out of range. Pong lands a big head kick that sends Carter tumbling to the mat! Pong takes a step backwards and waves Carter back to his feet - he wants the finish! Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Weezy Carter has been cut. Pong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pong blocks a low kick nicely. Pong moves out of range of the body kick. Carter seems to have got his legs back now. Pong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pong misses with a looping left. Carter moves out of range of the strikes. Pong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pong is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter avoids the head kick by Pong.
Pong is breathing heavily. Carter dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Pong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pong gets caught flat footed, as Carter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Carter sitting in guard here, content to control. Carter is pushing down on Pong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pong is fighting to maintain full guard but Carter has managed to sneak the leg through. Carter trying to mount his opponent but Pong defends it. Pong is trying to stand up here but Carter is controlling him well. Carter scoring with strikes to the body and head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carter lands a nice short elbow. Carter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pong is looking to improve his position.
Carter works his foot free and advances to mount. Carter trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter lands with some strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter content just to control the position here. Carter tries to control but Pong wriggling away. Pong keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carter landing strikes from the mount. BOOM! Carter connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Carter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pong is looking to escape. Carter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pong has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pong wants to hold on but Carter pushes him away. Carter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Carter looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Carter controlling the pace for now. Carter wants to control the pace but Pong is squirming around nicely. Carter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pong tries to reverse the position but Carter maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Weezy Carter dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Weezy Carter's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Pong wants to clinch up but Carter keeps it at a distance. Pong throws a head kick that misses and Carter counters with a low kick, right behind Pong 's knee. Pong tries to clinch but Carter moves away and Carter counters with a nice body kick. Carter plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Pong wants to clinch and Carter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Carter tries to land a front kick but Pong steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Pong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Carter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pong blocks the body kick.
Pong misses with a few strikes there.
Carter lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pong will feel that in the morning. Carter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pong moves out of range of the body kick from Carter.
Carter is looking to wear down Pong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Carter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Carter scores with a nice body kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Weezy Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Carter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Pong darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pong's waist but Pong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. Pong closes the distance looking to clinch and Carter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter prevents Pong from improving his position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Pong's temple. Pong is trying to get back to full guard. Carter passes to full mount! Carter landing shots from mount. Carter landing strikes from the mount. Carter cracks Pong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Carter avoids the attempt from Pong to control. Pat Pong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pong is in a horrible position here. Carter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Carter with shots to the head and body - Pong looks very uncomfortable down there. Pong takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Pong tries to hold on but Carter pushes him away. Carter scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pong?
Carter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Carter breaks from Pong's wrist control and lands an elbow. Carter lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Carter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pong is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pong and Carter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Carter wants to control but Pong is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Pong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Weezy Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Carter controls the position. Carter advances to full mount. Carter breaks from Pong's wrist control and lands an elbow. Carter is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Weezy Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
